Race description
Salomon Vitosha Trail 2026 is a mountain race offering a unique experience in the wilderness of Vitosha. The race features three distances with varying difficulty and elevation gain, suitable for both beginners and experienced runners. The start and finish are at Aleko Hut, and the courses cross varied terrain, including an ascent of Cherni Vrah, the highest point on Vitosha. The organizers aim to develop trail-running culture in Bulgaria and encourage an active lifestyle.

The race bib includes a timing chip. The awards ceremony takes place in front of Aleko Hut after the third finisher in each distance and group crosses the finish line. Participants who have paid the entry fee receive a 30% discount on Salomon products and 10% on Suunto products at Sport Box. GPS devices are recommended for navigating the courses. The courses range from 12 km to 40 km and include an ascent of Cherni Vrah; conditions include mud, rocks, forests, and open meadows; registration is online or on site.
