Мусала Екстрийм

Musala Extreme is a challenging mountain race held in Borovets, offering two distances: 38 km with 2,200 m of elevation gain and 16 km with 1,000 m of elevation gain. The course passes over peaks such as Yastrebets, Aleko, Lyudmil Yankov, Musala, and Mancho, offering impressive views of the Rila, Pirin, Vitosha, and Stara Planina mountains. The race combines technically challenging sections with fast descents and requires strength, speed, and skill. In addition to the individual races, there is a team race, as well as the option to take part in a duathlon with cycling the following day.

Start and finish on the ski slope in front of Hotel Rila. Race pack collection on the evening before the race and on race morning. Awards for the winners at 11:00 for the Yastrebets Trail Run and at 15:00 for Musala Extreme. The team race has no limit on the number of participants per team. Duathlon with cycling the following day on a route through Lakatiska Rila. The course has technical sections requiring mountain-running skills; registration and an entry fee are required; mandatory equipment applies; shorter-distance races and a team race are available; duathlon with cycling the following day.
