Adventure Skyrun 2026

Adventure Skyrun is a mountain race held in the Rila Mountains since 2016, with three distances passing through scenic locations such as Malyovitsa Peak, Musala Peak, Ribni Ezera Hut, and Strashnoto Lake. Participants can choose between a 12 km forest course, a 25 km route with climbs and single-track trails, and a 55 km ultramarathon connecting the resorts of Borovets and Malyovitsa, with technical and rocky sections. The race offers impressive natural scenery and challenges for runners with different levels of experience. The organizers provide aid stations and transport after the finish of the longest distance.

Race packs are distributed on 28.08.2026 in front of Hotel Rila in Borovets resort and on 29.08.2026 in front of the Malyovitsa Central Mountain School for the shorter distances. The time limit is 14 hours for the 55 km and 9 hours for the 25 km. Participants must bring their own water container, as there are no bottles at the aid stations. Valid mountain insurance is mandatory for the 25 km and 55 km distances. After the 55 km finish, organized transport to Samokov and Borovets is available. Advance registration and payment are mandatory; equipment is required for 55 km participants; the race is intended for advanced runners; there is no race-day registration except for the children's run.
