Wings for Life

Wings for Life World Run is a unique global race for runners and wheelchair participants, taking place on May 10, 2026, in Borisova Gradina, Sofia. Instead of a traditional finish line, participants run until they are caught by the virtual "Catcher Car," which starts 30 minutes after the beginning and gradually increases its speed. The event raises funds for spinal cord research, with 100% of registration fees and donations going to this cause. Participants can gather at the popular spot "Sun" in Borisova Gradina and join via the Wings for Life World Run mobile app.

The race is accessible for wheelchair participants. The virtual "Catcher Car" begins chasing participants 30 minutes after the start at a speed of 14 km/h, which gradually increases. 100% of registration fees and donations are directed to spinal cord research. Participants must use the Wings for Life World Run mobile app to participate and track their progress. Participants can join via the app or on-site, as the event is focused on charity and supporting scientific research. The event is open to all ages and fitness levels.
