Mechi Chal Trail Chepelare

Mechi Chal Trail is an exciting mountain race taking place on May 3, 2026, in Chepelare, at Olympic Square. The courses follow mountain routes and forest trails in the Rhodope Mountains, suitable for both beginners and experienced trail runners. The race offers three distances with varying elevation gain, challenging participants with a true mountain experience. Every finisher receives a medal, and the winners receive cash and in-kind prizes.

Race packets will be distributed on May 2 from 15:00 to 20:00 at Borika Hotel and on May 3 from 8:00 at Olympic Square. Participants under 16 may take part only in the 7.6 km distance. Every finisher receives a medal, and the prizes for the top three places are cash and in-kind prizes. Participants are advised to complete the participation declarations in advance. Payment is currently accepted only by bank transfer. The distances are 7.6 km, 15 km, and 30 km, with positive elevation gains of 420 m, 820 m, and 1,640 m, respectively; the start and finish are at Olympic Square in Chepelare; the courses run through mountain and forest terrain.
